Six Sigma
San
Diego
The
revolutionary Six Sigma is taking the business world by storm,
helping numerous companies improve the quality of their
organizational processes. Originally developed at Motorola, Six
Sigma has now become famous through the efforts of Jack Welch at GE,
and others, for its ability to increase productivity and market
share while saving businesses millions of dollars in annual costs.
Six Sigma Management improvement methodologies based on a heavy use
of statistical tools to reduce errors and gain measurable cost
savings. The Six Sigma is the culmination of many years of work by
the best minds in business and management. The Six Sigma allows
today’s companies to realize the full potential of the teachings of
Juran, Demming, Crosby, Taguchi, and many others. Six Sigma provides
an organizational infrastructure that transforms these teachings
into core business practices by recognizing the unique needs of
today’s companies and by leveraging modern computing technology to
make it all work. When we talk about Six Sigma San Diego, even there
are many companies which have adopted and implemented Six Sigma.
We have seen
recently that many new companies are joining the concept of Six
Sigma, but that doesn’t mean that there were no initiatives of Six
Sigma San Diego. For example, In Sep 2001, during Reliability
Chapter Meeting, Overview on the Use of Six Sigma to an
Organization, Larry Rabeneck discussed the use of six sigma
techniques and illustrate them with examples from his background.
Larry Rabeneck
has more than 30 years of technical, quality, engineering,
operational, and management experience in manufacturing and
transactional processes within the aviation and aerospace industry
and is a Six Sigma San Diego master black belt programs.
Larry has
served in many key capacities within AlliedSignal’s aerospace
divisions. Since 1995, Larry has personally directed numerous six
sigma projects that have saved AlliedSignal millions of dollars. As
Manager of Quality Data, he created a quality data system, which was
driven as a black belt project that saved the division $815,000.
Prior to that, he served as a lead black belt responsible for a
variety of manufacturing and transactional settings, including order
administration, production, forecasting and planning. Larry directed
a six sigma project that increased test yields of a critical
autopilot component from 60% to 95%, which allowed the company to
meets customer sales demands of nearly $4.7 million.
Larry has
worked with business leaders, process owners, other Black Belts, and
Green Belts in focusing on critical projects by providing training
and mentoring in Six Sigma methodology and tools applications during
Six Sigma San Diego. Larry is a senior member of the American
Society for Quality. He is an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer. He has
a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of
